PRELUDE was our foundation mare. We imported her in late 2009 in foal to Mr. Blue. The summer of 2020 was devastating as we lost her in a freak accident. But we have retained two fillies, Feather Bloom by Mr Blue producer of Keuring's champion and Olivia Bloom by Diamant de Semilly that will be part of our broodmares band in 2022.
Prelude Keur Sport EPTM mare by Calvados Keur out of Electra Sport Preferent Prestatie by Voltaire, Prelude is part of a performance family who have not only success in the test mare (EPTM) and keuring but also in sport. This is why the Wisiada Fisiada mareline had been the mareline on the year in 2012 and the founder of this line Marteen Liefhebber was also named ''Breeder of the year''in Holland.
Prelude was successful in sport and in the breeding shed. She jumped at National Level in the 1m35 and her first offspring Unisound Keur Sport competed up to 1m50 and her own daughter Asjemenou Keur EPTM is now competing in the 1m45 in Holland.
Prelude had a high breeding value of 161 when imported in 2010 and she is the full sister of the highest ranked mare in Holland for the 13 years in a row until her death, the International jumper Elite Sport Preferent Prestatie mare Harmonie.
Worth of mentioning, Unisound, was the result of intensive inbreeding as her sire Litho, International jumper Approved sBs stallion is a son of Harmonie. Quite well known in Holland, I am privilege to own one of the best ambassador of this mareline with the full sister Prelude and a daughter of Harmonie; Flower.

Prelude and her full sister Harmonie shares a striking resemblance with their sire Calvados KEUR. Their pedigree are loaded of National and International performers on both sides. With this bloodline, ingredients are there to produce a foal enable to compete at the highest level in sport.
This mare was one of a life time, and we will be forever thankful for the opportunity we had into owning this great mare.
CALVADOS is bred from the best French performance bloodlines. His sire Uriel has been the leading sire for several years with the highest index figure ever in France of 211. Uriel contributed to French breeding through 26 sons and he produced more than 100 international showjumpers!! Uriel is closely related to the famous Quidam de Revel as they share the same mare line. Dams of Quidam de Revel and Uriel are both by Nankin out of a Nadine daughter.
Calvados dam Gold Rose (index 186!) was as a 3 year old French Conformation Champion and she was in the French Showjumping Team from 1979 until 1982, during which time she won the Grand Prix of Paris and Madrid and became second in Lisbon, Barcelona and Hamburg. Her total winnings were Frs. 621.000,--. In addition Gold Rose produced two sons, that both became approved stallions Turban Rose in Sweden and Sable Rose renamed Calvados in Holland. Gold Rose was sired by the great showjumper producer Ibrahim with 36 approved sons in France, including the legendary Alme. Granddam of Calvados was the unique mare Jolie Rose, who became very famous by producing 6 international showjumpers including: All Rose, Dall Rose, Gold Rose, La Rose II. She also produced the approved stallions Irminio and Joly Jumper.
Calvados as a 4 year old won the National Stallion Competition. In 1992 Calvados as an 8 year old claimed a deserved 7th place in the Dutch Championship with Peter Geerink. The next year they were Reserve Champion of the Netherlands and won the Grand Prix of Tjele in Denmark, 3rd Grand Prix of Drammen, 5th Grand Prix of Falsterbro, 2nd Grand Prix of Spangenberg, 4th Grand Prix of Geesteren and winner of the Stallion Competition at ’s-Hertogenbosch. Although Calvados has bred on a very limited scale, he has many international offspring jumping at Grand Prix level, e.g. Macanudo’s Deniro (Peter Wylde), Royal Future (Allison Firestone), Royal Love (Susanne Behring), Harmonie (Leon Thijssen) the full sister of Prelude, Iwan II (Mark Armstrong), Illussion (Tani Tops) and Silber Bird (Markus Beerbaum). Calvados is one of the few stallions who has earned his KEUR predicate. He has this to thank from his above mentioned, worldfamous children, who won grand prix and world cups. Calvados produced the reserve champion of the IAN-trophy and a lot of offspring scored high marks in their mare tests, IBOP’s and foal auctions. The jumping index of Calvados is extremely high with 152 points. Calvados produced the highest percentage star mares in 2003.
Prelude's dam Electra is by Voltaire Keur Preferent and competed at national level in Holland. She has her Preferent , Sport and Prestatie predicate. Her dam the Ster Sport Uranda by Le Mexico was an 1m60 international jumper. Electra was ranked 13th in the breeding value for mares with offspring in sport (BV 162) in 2010.
Electra produced one Approved AES stallion, one Approved AES and Z stallion, one Keur Sport National jumper mare, one Elite Preferent prestatie sport International jumper mare and two Elite mares. One of her daughter Harmonie is one if not THE most famous broodmare in Holland. Despite her International career she went on to produce one International jumper and Approved sBs stallion, one approved KWPN stallion which was Reserve Champion of his stallion test, one international Elite sport preferent mare, one Elite Sport ZZ jumping (4'5'') and one Z mare (4'3'') . The later had an approved stallion , Comme Il faut in the Zangersheide studbook.
Electra' sire, Voltaire needs no introduction. He is the result of crossing two outstanding bloodlines: Furioso II and Gotthard. Furioso II produced 200 state premium mares and at least 70 approved stallions of which several are standing at stud in other continents. One can easily say that Furioso II has influenced the breeding industry worldwide. The full brother of Furioso II is the French stallion Mexico. His son Le Mexico is a familiar name in Dutch breeding and frequently appears in the pedigrees of successful showjumpers such in Electra's dam line. Furioso II was also the sire of the Olympic gold medal winners Lutteur B and Pomone B.
Voltaire's dam, Gogo Moeve, was also the dam to such horses as Fandango R, PS Falkan and Petite Fleur. She was sired by the great Gotthard, a stallion who has made his mark in the Hanoverian breed. Gotthard is seen in the pedigree of such horses as Goldika, Goya, Queensway, Genius, Grundstein and Grannus. Gogo Moeve's dam-sire was the Thoroughbred stallion More Magic, who also sired the 1980 Moscow Olympics dressage gold medalist, Mon Cherie, ridden by Elisabeth Theurer.
The dam's sire Gotthard is almost a legend in German sports horse breeding. Gotthard's strength is continued in his sons and grandsons. Vital in Voltaire's pedigree is the connection in the third generation to the thoroughbreds More Magic xx on one side and on the other side Furioso xx.
As an 8 year old Voltaire jumped 1.50 m. courses with a great deal of success. He showed his strength in international jumping in 1988 in Calgary, Stockholm, Lanaken, Helsinki, Wiesbaden and Wembley and in 1989 he brought his showjumping career to a successful ending by winning the Grand Prix of Berlin with Jos Lansink and 2nd in the Grand Prix of Leeuwarden. Voltaire was the sire with the most offspring at the Olympic Games of Atlanta in 1996. Voltaire has over 50 approved sons. Many of his offspring jump at Grand Prix level, i.e. Kannan, Finesse, Altaire, Kahlua, Play it Again, Helios, Electro, Especial etc. etc. Foltaire, ridden by Günther Seidel is a famous offspring of Voltaire in the international dressage ring. Voltaire has been awarded ‘Huntersire of the Year 2001, 2002 and 2003’ in the USA!
